Beacon Covid Update for 2020/2021 Program
Our goal is to be able to have an in-person program where all who would like to participate are able to do so safely. Therefore, we are adjusting the timing, location, and price of our program for the 2020/2021 academic year.
Time and Location

Session Dates: Oct. 3, Nov. 7, Dec. 5, Feb. 6, Mar. 6, Apr. 3, May 1
Service day in January: data and timing TBA

@ Cedar Wood (80 Lombard St, Newton)
1:00 - 2:30 pm 8th-grade program
2:30 - 3:30 pm Break for staff to clean and disinfect rooms
3:30 - 5:00 pm 9th/10th-grade program

@ Bayridge Residence (395 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston)
2:00 pm Pick up from Cedar Wood (if needed)
2:30 - 4:30 pm 11th/12th-grade program
5:00 pm Return to Cedar Wood (for those using the carpool)
New Protocols
At both Cedar Wood and Bayridge, all staff will be wearing masks and maintaining six-feet distance. Participants are also asked to wear masks, particularly while indoors.
Mentoring, for now, will occur at another time each month, either on Zoom or in person.
We also offer an online-only option which includes the ability to participate in the speaker portion as well as individual mentoring over Zoom.
